Re: L@@king to compose using Linux ! :)
Hi there NomadJago, There is an exhaustive list of free native linux plugins. Check it out here: https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?t=20773 Don't know if it's still updated, but you can further post your questions there if you have any about certain plugins. Otherwise, you can also use Reaper ...

Re: Hi I'm J0J0
and yes, one first question: Where on this board would a tool primarily built for Vinyl DJ's fit in well? I can't find the DJ section :-) First of all, welcome to the group, J0J0. Thank you for sharing your story. We've all gone through this and still have a long way to go. But I think you could po...

Re: Distrohopper
I thik I would have enjoyed the last section a lot, if it hadn't been such a step down from the section before. The drums sounded so flat and the arrangement was so light... You're totally right there. I didn't program the drums from scratch here. Adding these drums was the last part of the job.......

Re: Distrohopper
Hi bulevardi, This was indeed a very strange mix. Well played and mixed but slightly disjointed. Do the parts represent different distributions? Which one is Ubuntu and which is Arch? ; ) And, why wasn't this recorded on more than one distribution : D ... sorry. I think I liked the second part the ...

Distrohopper
Hi all ! Today I released a new song called 'Distrohopper'. It contains both techno, new beat and (post)rock. Not the best combination, I know. But it happened that way. You can check it out via different streaming platforms, choose wisely: https://linktr.ee/bulevardi https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-...

Re: DoReMiFa Solfege
I'm a guitar player and new to piano. Now,since my wife is starting with piano lessons, I created a diagram for the notes all over the keys. I thought it could be handy... maybe for myself later on. It's available on the web, but when you're looking for a printable piano diagram with notes and other...

Awesome! Stop playing pro evolution soccer and start creating music again ;) I added your song to the linux musicians playlist ;) Aside Bitwig Studio, there's a great alternative that works cross platforms: Reaper. (that's the one I currently use). Altough I want to do something in LMMS again in the...

.... but it does use exclusively (apart from the drums) a free synth that runs on Linux: u-he's TripleCheese: Feel free to not include it because it uses a free but not open source synth that runs natively on Linux. That one though uses wine-staging/linvst and Windows plugins, along Linux plugins, ...

Linux Musicians Playlist
Hi all ! I'm wondering who of you have their music on Spotify or SoundCloud? It could be nice to bundle a lot of linux made music into a playlist on e.g. Spotify. There are lots of musicians who would like to get more exposure. Together we can do so. If we all stream a playlist with music from us al...

Compilation - Sampler - Playlist ?
I once was in a nice community long ago, and they yearly made a 'sampler cd', a compilation of songs featuring prominent artists from the community. Wouldn't it be cool if there was a SoundCloud page or something like that, where an admin or jury makes a playlist each month with all new songs from t...

Re: Bonaventura !
It is like 4 songs in one! Really nice melodies! The sound is very light and roomy. Thanks! There's another one like that with lots of variations, called "A fêmea está se preparando para a estação de acasalamento". Both songs are started with a melody that I wanted to let grow to a full song, but i...

Re: My first recording in a full Linux environment ^^
Yeah, I bought an AM53, the entry level model, and I do really like it. I've been wanting an archtop electric guitar ever since I was a teenager admiring Robert Smith's bright red Gibson Chet Atkins model. Here is me playing it on the day I bought it: https://youtu.be/_5jmv0XsuII . I've made severa...
