Re: iZotope Product Portal installation fails
Just forget it, iZotope stuff doesn't work in Linux at all. Once you make it seemingly work, you'll end up with inoperable plugin UIs and tremendous CPU load.

Re: Bass plugins + Guitar to Bass flow
I just play a real bass through Audio Assault's Duality Bass Studio, if a real thing isn't around. Massive tone, lots of tweakable stuff.

This is an issue. Try using native software, like Pianoteq. It's not that expensive.danny wrote:LinVST

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
At the very least the vid illustrates the type of functionality that Alex (please correct if i'm wrong) was alluding to earlier. That's not much close, but that plugin indeed has those algorithm switches, both for late and early reflections, which is neat if you do any sound design or just serious ...

I don't know much about algorithms, but this looks okay. It may be there to eliminate phase issues.Michael Willis wrote:To anybody who knows DSP better than I do, does line 156 of nrev.cpp look wrong?

So, you're pushing my idea even further. Nice, but wouldn't it make the UI too messy?bluebell wrote:It would be cool having ONE Dragonfly Reverb with all the modes builtin

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
Alex isn't often right but he's wrong again Stick this mantra up your brown eye. Repeating this won't make you play or mix better than me, nor it does make me wrong in anything, because Early reflections are not relevant to a plate is just another way to say “I'm a moron” without stating that expli...

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
Are you thinking both in the same plugin? I considered that a little bit. Yeah, exactly. Why not, in the first place? I didn't think early reflections were relevant in a plate reverb Yet they are. Not that it's something very crucial, but lots of digital plates sound like shit because there are no ...

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
Please do tell, what do you want in a plate reverb? A thing that would be cool to have is some control on early reflections. Most plates either don't produce any at all, or don't let to control them in an obvious way. But, according to documentation, STRev doesn't have an early section at all, whil...

Re: New Dragonfly Reverb beta release v2.9.0
so if somebody cares to load them both using a vst wine bridge or something, it would be good to get some opinions. Did you think about having them both? I know it's not a simple task to get it all together, but switching the algorithm depending on what you want would be neat, just like it is in Va...
