Re: draw curves equalizer

There's no exact copy of this, but there are lots of parametric EQs. Use them instead.

Try headphones. And I mean real headphones, like in “cans”, not in “earbuds”.

I'd better call that with a single non-breaking space. This way, it will look Zen as hell.

Re: Using Hydrogen to play DrumGizmo's DRS Kit

This is the second time in two posts that I've been basically called an idiot. I'm a 40 years old guy This is the Internet. Nobody sees your face, your ID, diploma, certificates and such, only your userpic, your post, and your nickname. Even signatures are rarely read, though most of forum people h...

Re: Scarlett 18i20 gen 2 won't run above 48kHz

First of all, you bought a professional audio card. You should be at least informed about what they do, and how the DAC/ADC behaves. Your intent to use higher sample rates is pointless; you can't improve audio quality in any way by pushing Nyquist frequency far above the hearing threshold. 48K is mo...

Re: Using Hydrogen to play DrumGizmo's DRS Kit

You can start a forum called 'Advanced Linux Musicians' and post RTFM all you want. There's a difference between the very basics and the tricky stuff. Not knowing the basics is, in fact, blatantly impolite. We're a Linux musicians forum, not a DAW operation basics forum. If I may draw your attentio...

Re: Using Hydrogen to play DrumGizmo's DRS Kit

Apologies if this was an incredibly dumb question It definitely was! I guess I'll want "In" to be enabled when recording, and disable it when I want to render it along other tracks, correct? Otherwise I assume I'll get the same audio played out twice or something like that... No, you won'...

If you're not keen on using only open source software, you can try Protoverb by u-He. This one isn't free as in speech, but definitely is a real gem.

Re: Sitala drum plugin on Manjaro

You should file a bug report on Sitala's bug tracker, preferably with a backtrace or a core dump. This way ensures that the developer discovers about this bug much faster than if you post about it here. My personal guess is that it's because you've got different glibc than Ubuntu. The one I have on ...

Re: Qtractor: automatic mixer window placement

If I need that sort of thing, I use KWin's window rules, which can be made with zero knowledge about how to write scripts. However, I never needed that on any of my DAWs.

Just change swappiness kernel parameter to something that will fit your workflow. It's not Windows, you actually can do that.

Both, but I liked the room reverb more. It was a better shot at this kind of plugins. I previously used impulses, but I think I might change my default chain on a room reverb bus.

Re: Dragonfly Hall Reverb

Tested it in a recent arrangement. To be honest, I am usually very skeptical about algorithmic reverbs, but this one is added to my go-to list. Great stuff. It's especially useful on guitar solos, acoustic guitars, and drums. Awesome stuff. I'll be mixing my band's upcoming album using it, no doubt.

But it has MIDI player plugin since 2014, if not even earlier, and this is mentioned on this exact forum. You're misleading.

There is none. Just connect whatever you want and play around. This is most probably related to the fact that some developers like to separate any control inputs from the music related input.
