Re: Not yet implemented in LMMS 1.0.0

You could try compiling it yourself. What distro are you using?

Re: Time signature in LMMS

The length of a pattern in lmms can be any size and doesn't have to match the time signature in the song.

Re: The Incontinentals - "Brandy"

Excellent song, excellent playing, excellent vocals, excellent production.
But what most touches me in this song and video is the love for music.
Just awesome.

Re: LMMS and its effect plugins

firstly , use the lmms version from https://lmms.io/download/#linux currently 1.2.0rc8 it's VASTLY better, more stable than 1.0.0 https://lmms.io/documentation/Working_with_VSTs#Working_with_VSTs_and_VSTi_Plugins This is how I use vst plugins (as mentioned in above link) : You can also browse for a ...

Re: Free VST synths?

my personal recommendation in no particular order
TAL - Noisemaker
Helm
Tyrell N6
Surge (not extensively used but I did some work on it  )
OxeFM

I should recommend Zyn Fusion as it's one off the best sounding synths ever but somehow I can't push myself to really get into it.

Yeah weird Linux naming.
amd64 is for 64 bit computers. More importantly, for 64 bit distros actually, which you probably run.

Re: Looking for a new sample editing tool

I'm kinda lost what we are trying to do here actually.
Do you need a pitch plugin which handles the left and right of a stereo signal differently ?
If not, just slap rubberband stereo pitch shifter (ladspa) on a stereo track.

Re: Looking for a new sample editing tool

I was wrong.
It does work.
You'll have to bypass an input.

Re: Looking for a new sample editing tool

Michael Willis wrote:Any update on this? I don't see why Carla would be necessary, since the LADSPA plugin can be loaded directly in Ardour. If rubberband won't work, I'll get started on developing a plugin using SoundTouch.

I tried using 2 mono plugins on a bus, and use them in parallel
I don't think that works.

Re: switching from apple to linux

The KX apps like cadence, carla etc are in the repos for Manjaro.
You can't install the KX repos on Manjaro, but there's no real need either afaik.

Re: Yoshimi does not show up

Could be ardour blacklists the plugin. Usually because there is trouble rendering the ui.
