MPK MK2 mini channel 10 and 1 separated in Carla
I've set my MK2 Mini up on windows with the mpk mini mkII editor, pads to midi channel 10, keys to midi channel 1. I saved it in program 1. I don't get the midi channels separated using Carla. When connecting ports from MPKmini2 to say Black Pearl Drumkit, it registers midi from all channels, even w...

recommendations for midi foot switch for live looping?
Hi all, I already found some posts here about midi foot switches but most are focused on controlling effects. I'd like to start using looping software, like sooper looper. (recommendations about other software is welcome too :-) ). Controlling looper-software with a foot switch would obviously be gr...

Re: Awen - Album: Chosen Cards
Hey, thanks for the comments :-) . it is interesting to hear that some hear the vocals as not 'on top' enough, others don't mention it at all, even say it's surprisingly clear. At first I thought it was because of the speakers, but it happens too when people listen on the same audio system, here at ...

Re: (free) 2.0 Virtual Playing Orchestra
Hey, maybe not the place to mention bugs, but note E4 is missing in the 1st-violin-SOLO-mod-wheel.sfz and the 1st-violin-SOLO-sustain.sfz file. In the 1-violin-SOLO-accent.sfz file, the sustain part is also missing, only the staccato part is played. I guess they're all based off the same sustain lib...

Re: Palais des Mirages
Hey, Interesting piece, I'm working on a piece with dissonant sounds too. Interesting to hear how you move to consonant harmony :-). One thing that sets me off a bit, is the violin sound. Don't get me wrong, I struggle with the same issue. There simply is not a single free (open source or otherwise)...

Re: put some music online
Glad you liked it .
I only now noticed the first track didn't work, I re-uploaded it, assumed it would have the same filename, but apparently drupal renamed the file, so it didn't play.
It should be fixed now.
grtz,
Bart

put some music online
Hi all, quite a while ago I decided to place some things online. Since my recent stuff is made on linux, Ubuntustudio with the KX-Studio repo's added, I thought it would be a good idea to show what I do. Here's the page: http://www.bartart3d.be/nl/muziek Everything on the main music page is done in ...

searching for free balalaika virtual instrument
Hi all, I'm making an alternative music track for a creative commons animation series, for one episode of course :-). I'd like to add a balalaika as instrument. I've been googling for one, but didn't get good results, mostly Kontakt, as expected, and non-free (both meanings). Does anyone here know o...
