Re: Looping software

A contryman of mine creates "Kluppe"-Looper, a loop-player and recorder, designed for live use: https://kluppe.klingt.org/
It works very well for me and can be compiled easily.

nted notation editor

Recently there are several threads about notation editors in this forum. A rather unknown notation editor is "nted" which in my opinion is very very good ! I use it to notate my ideas and print the score for fellow musicians, it includes a mixer, step recording, exporting to midi, ... The website it...

Re: Lost and Found - My "Albumatross"

Dear Milo! I post very seldom, but after listening to your album and especially your family singing "Silent Night" I had to! I am from the small city named Hallein, where this song was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. I enjoy your version very very much - this is the way this song has to be performed...

Re: Guitar-to-MIDI (or, adventures in pitch tracking with free software)

The software "waon - a wave-to-notes transcriber" works fine for my needs. Get information at "http://waon.sourceforge.net/" including a demo video. You can download an executable file compiled from the latest code on my website "www.stockinger.org".

Re: A video promoting the use of open-source software for music production

Totally agree but this forum is even named "Linux"musicians. Not GNU/Linux musicians, not Libre musicians. So I kinda stopped being pedantic (and also generally following) on this forum.
Very well said!

Re: MOD Devices sponsors Linuxmusicians.com

I'm feeling pretty bad.
Please do not.
From my point of view you do not have to regret anything and do not let it get you down.

I send you heartwarming greetings from Salzburg, birthtown of Mozart!

Re: Gtk Wave Cleaner - Denoising, Dehissing, Declicking

Hi Luciano! Sorry, yes I refer to the denoising part of gwc. Besides others I used these samples for testing https://www.hoer-talk.de/upload/up/Entrauschen_mit_Audacity-1461183872.zip and was surprised how good it worked. I do not dare to evaluate these softwares, it is better up to people like you ...

Gtk Wave Cleaner - Denoising, Dehissing, Declicking

Until recently this escaped my attention: The former "gnome wave cleaner" (which crashed a lot) became "Gtk Wave Cleaner" now. See https://github.com/AlisterH/gwc It can be compiled quite easily or downloaded from my website http://www.stockinger.org/musik.html as thankyouware. To my mind it works v...

Hi, when I run "ffado-dbus-server" the output is different. Does this help in anyway  If it is a ffado issue it is better to post in ffado list (http://www.ffado.org/). The guys there are very competent and helpful! babarosa@Xubuntu:~$ ffado-dbus-server ----------------------------------------...

Re: Terratec Phase 88 FW

Hi there! I assume you already set the more obvicious things (you are member of the groups audio, plug-dev, ...., rt-priority, ..., settings in qjackctl - firewire,...) I am using a Terratec Phase 88 FW under Xubuntu 14.04.5 and it is fully supported since 10.04 or so. The problem could be that afte...
