Re: What Are The Coolest Modular Synth Plugins That Exist?

VCV Rack by a long way. Not sure though if you need it to be a plugin (VCV Rack will be a plugin when the new version is released but the timeframe for that is unclear).

There is this https://github.com/bsp2/VeeSeeVSTRack. However, it works on Rack pre v1 so not ideal but better than nothing.

In case anyone is copying and pasting the correct files are:

Re: Not a fan of Rhythmbox, better alternatives? Also Song Stores / buying music / not streaming

For me the best approach was to separate the the functions compared to all in one solutions on windows. For library management I use puddletag, it's really powerful and can do batch file/folder naming if your tags are in order. For playback I use mpd + cantata. I tried almost all other players on li...

Re: Expansionssssss

Bitwig would be the obvious counterpart. Giada might work but not sure if this is much of a change over seq24.

Re: Expansionssssss

I think VCV Rack would be perfect for this. There are a few ways you could do it, from having a couple of sequencers and a switch, or using one sequencer with '8face' (a module which recalls settings so you could store lots of predefined sequences and edit them on the fly as you see fit). In both me...

VCV Rack if you know the basics of how synths work, or you want to learn.

Re: Reaper vs Ardour?

Why would you need to differentiate between mono and stereo tracks? I always found that such a pain in Ardour and never understood why it was like that.

Re: MUSICBEE FOR LINUX

I used to use Musicbee on Windows and I found it very difficult to find something as good on Linux. It would be best to ask the developer on their forum for this although at this point, if no work has been made towards it by now, I think it's doubtful that it will happen.

Re: Reaper vs Ardour?

Reaper is also much more customisable and therefore more powerful when you start using and combining actions (many tedious or repetitive things can be automated). I think there is a some kind of system in place for this in Ardour but the last time I looked there was barely anything created for it by...

Re: Ardour: How sum your stereo tracks to mono when works with Sitala?

You could use a mid/side EQ and high pass the side channel. This gives you a bit more control, sometimes basses and kicks have interesting stereo information in the mids/highs so you can mono the low end but keep what you want for the higher end.

Re: Surge 1.9 released

This is a huge release. They have added Mutable Instruments' Clouds and Plaits to the effects and VCO sections which is amazing...plucked strings into shimmer reverb? Yes please! Just wish it would get updated in kxstudio, I'm still stuck with 1.7. I know you can easily download the new version but ...

Re: New Hardware - Need some perspective

Hey Michael, I'm glad you managed to identify the problem eventually. It is a nasty bug and I've lost a fair bit of work to it.
