Re: random glitches in jack
i've made a lot of checks and tests in these days, now the result: glitches and dropouts are still there with a correct period/buffer value, they are really rares but occasionally - when the amplitude changes fast, for example - they are still here. So, i tried to re-install e fresh kxstudio distro ...

Re: random glitches in jack
ok, some tests with different periods/buffer combo: the clicks and the glitches seems to be gone away at 96000hz/512/8... also no problem with 1024/16-32-64 but the latency was too large to play any instrument (like a true delay :) ) .... i can hear some "hardware sound" like small rattle ...

Re: random glitches in jack
ok i've set the "period/buffer" to 64 and - at least at the moment - there aren't bad glitches in the recorded or playback sound... Some additional information: my system is kxStudio based, low-latency kernel with 64bit architecture (my precedent setup was a kxstudio also, but in 32bit arc...

Re: Collaboration/Session recordings/etc
Hi, i'm an electronic composer, guitarist and audio-programmer. I love Miles Davis, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Jimi Hendrix. Addicted by all 70's sort of sound, i've made a little studio in my home (but usually i work in a true audio-studio with other people, a lot of instruments are too big to stay ...

A drone-music track with granular synthesis
Hi, i've made this track with my new "granular-drone" pd patch. An external signal (here a square-wave signal from an external analog synth) is carried through a 3-stage granularizer; every grainsynth has indipendent parameters and is patched with the others to make spectral-variations, co...

Re: a simple track made with my "tempo-rationalyzer" pd-patc
a must to learn pratically how to make a polyphonic synthesizer whit different waveforms, envelope (filter and amp), a save-state patch system to save preset and a basic GUI to control the instrument: http://claudionervi.com/pure-data/cursos-on-line/construccion-de-un-sintetizador-analogo-virtual-en...

Re: a simple track made with my "tempo-rationalyzer" pd-patc
hi sys, i work with pd since years, i've also used SuperCollider (great language!), CSound (great sound but very "low-level" language) and others.... IMHO pd is the best solution in terms of productivity/work: maybe is a bit annoyng to semone to have to point&click the mouse instead of...

Re: a simple track made with my "tempo-rationalyzer" pd-patc
tnx sysrqer, i've made it with 2 softwares: puredata and ardour. I've also used CALF's compressor/EQ/reverb plugins. The instruments are: an old acoustic guitar and an analog synth (Arturia MicroBrute). The 2 instruments are connected to 2 input channel in a puredata patch that record a buffer of au...
