Re: Motu M4 Linux compatible?
The Behringer worked pretty good with Linux, but then it begin having various problems, not because of Linux I think. More because it was a Behringer. The Motu looked like it was going to have( oh brother, 4-5 months of tweaking to work with Linux) issues. I just spent a year messing with that kind ...

My Motu M4 works perfectly, but only because I moved to the dark side with my recording laptop, and put Win 10 Pro on it.

Black Lion mic is HEAVY how to stabilize?
My home recording setup is slowly coming together, but as you look at the mic stand, and stop laughing long enough, I could use advice on how to stand the mic up in a stable way, that won't interfere with my laptop, and the new monitors I have coming. I can find a sideboard table , to set the laptop ...

Motu M4 Linux compatible?
I contacted Motu, and the tech guy was helpful. He said what we all know, that Linux broke the USB compliance. I've heard, and the Motu tech said as well, that USB compliance is being worked on from Linux. That said, I have ordered a Motu M4 from www.long-mcquade.com here in Canada. They will allow ...

Re: Can Reaper or Jack allow all audio @ same time in Linux
OK, so turning on Jack, I can hear Reaper. Turning off Jack, I can hear any other source. Not greay, but better than having to `shutdown programs.

Can Reaper or Jack allow all audio @ same time in Linux
I am very happy that I now can listen to either Reaper or other sources, but NOT at the same time, as I must shut Reaper down to hear any other audio from my machine.

No jack, records just fine, but NO computer sound
If I email my recording to my wife's laptop, or to friends, they hear it fine. So how do I make sure that not only do I record through my usb interface, but I can have system sound to hear my recording as well as youtube, spotify, or anything else from my laptop?
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

Re: Help with qjackctl patchbay connections
Sound card is a Behringer UMC404HD usb interface. It shows up in Jack as either hw:U192k or hw:U192k,0.
If I switch to default, no change. If I change jack to the Behringer in the Parameters page, and the use default in the advanced page, no change.

[solved] Help with qjackctl patchbay connections
Here are my patchbay and connections for jack, but my usb interface that shows up in jack isn't sending signals to either of my DAW's. REAPER in the Track Input tab, says; Not connected. What is not connected? I followed this example, yet... still no joy... https://www.rncbc.org/drupal/node/76 PATCH...

These are the present connections in Jack. Do I need to add these in Patchbay? well well...it seems that I now have signal from my digital keyboard! Exciting!
