MusE2 is now available, full dssi-vst support is in!

Postby falkTX » Mon Jul 02, 2012 3:18 pm

Hey everyone,

for any MusE fans out there, the latest 2.0 stable release is now on the KXStudio repos.

Because I previously fixed some dssi-vst issues (see viewtopic.php?f=47&t=8128), I hacked MusE code a tiny bit to work with my dssi-vst code. The plugin's UI can now be closed and re-shown at anytime, and chunks are saved/restored properly. I'm pretty sure time-pos will work too, but I couldn't make MusE send BBT information to jack...

I'm not a MusE user myself though, so my testing was not that great.
Anyway, enjoy the release!

Thanks!

However, I'm still having the same problem with the markers window. I posted about it here: http://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=8173.

I noticed that OpenOctave MIDI, which is based on MusE's source, has the same markers window glitch. May it be that I'm missing some library or something? Could you take a look and see if it opens on your machine?

I don't really use muse, so the support or information I can give about it is almost none.

by the "marker" view do you mean this: ?

one thing you can try:
Code: Select all
muse -style plastique

other than that I have no idea what to do. you should talk to the muse devs directly.

Yes, that window. You get it by selecting View - Marker View.

I'll try that as soon as I get home, and let you know the results. Thanks.
