How to have an Alesis Multimix 4usb running in ubuntu 10.04?

Postby maghoxfr » Sat Jul 10, 2010 5:09 pm

I have just bought the Alesis Multimix 4 USB. I had asked a few ubuntu users that owned this interface and they all told me it ran out of the box. Mine did not, it doesn't appear in jack and i couldn't record with qtractor. I think it might be some minor configuration issue or a missing package I might have not installed. It's class compliant in windows/mac, so for what I know it should run out the box in ubuntu, sadly for me, it did not.

What can I do to have it running?

I'll keep trying by myself, if I succeed I'll post it, but I could really, really use a friendly hand!

Thanks

I already solved it thanks. I know that "it doesn't worl" is not an error message but I didn't even know the commands from which I could see the error message.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. That's why I gave you two commands to try. Glad you solved it.

Yeah I know, I didn't assumed you did. Maybe I sounded a bit disrespectful, wasn't my intention.
Thanks

how to get a girl to like you

What do you mean? This was a post I made because I had bought an audio interface but couldn't make it work. Just that, I wasn't promoting anything.

Yeah, I suspected that, but as it didn't actually promoted anything, I gave the benefit of the doubt. Man, I hate spam.

If you highlight the spammer's message, you will see that there is a link with text saying "how to get a girl". So, yes, he actually was promoting something. I can see you guys don't have experience in dealing with spam.

But the spammer was pretty silly. He wanted to improve his client's SEO by leaving a keyword as part of the anchor text. Problem is, Google does not count links from unrelated link sources ha ha ha.
