My profession is mechanical engineer / cad operator and as the topic tile states, I am from Amsterdam.
Before I started a few years ago with lmms, I had almost no experience in making music, I never really learned to play an instrument.
( or do two simple songs on a toy harmonica count ? )
Besides music I am also a fan of (racing) motorcycles, and particular two strokes.
Most of my money went into that, so I never got to buying a synthesizer keyboard.
I ones saw a demonstration, with an AtariST, Cubase and a Yamaha DX-7 keyboard, and that did start my interest in synthesizers.
Music I like, Hip Hop ( krs one to name one artist) synthesizer music like jean michel jarre and vangelis, disco, some old rock classics, and edm in general but not so much techno and or hardstyle, nor drum and base.
I also like house music and some classical music. I use lmms with a keystation mini 32, on openSUSE 13.1 64 bit
