on kernel 4.14 manjaro, ni audio kontrol linux works but comp fails to suspend.
Anyone knows if there's a kernel that would fix that?

Re: FL Studio 20 available
Oh, one computer now cannot launch FL studio. The big fruit appears but stays in and never gets to the GUI.

Re: FL Studio 20 available
For reference, the midi device got picked up after a reboot.
What doesn't seem to work now is the inputs if the audio device (zoom H5).
Works fine on audacity/kwave/ardour. Any idea why?

Re: FL Studio 20 available
Wine (which otherwise does a killer job with music apps) stopped picking up my midi device. Where do I post it? It's an usb kb, icon i-key pro, in case anyone is curious. Manjaro, so pretty up-to-date everything. Used to work 6 mo ago. Update: I tried one other device, a NI Audio Kontrol 1, and it a...

Re: New Free Synth - Helm - Now in Beta
Helm is now at 0.8.6 and it's fantastic. Very stable under ardour. Lots of features.
The only thing I could ask for is more filter types, say a 24db one.
Good think there's a fully open source synth to play with!

Re: Linux REAPER works!
Thanks!
I got the vsts to show but it's kind of buggy over here (manjaro, normal kernel).
I'll check again in a few months.
Also, my usb midi keyboard doesn't show.

kxstudio on 16.04 base, running reaper

If LMMS:
- Had undo (how can you not have this in 2013?? Makes it useless for me)
- supported LV2
We'd be half-way there. I cannot make it work with alsa, but it should be possible.

Re: stopping jack makes it an unkillable process, destroys h
I repeat, kill -9 was the first thing I did.
This is a smell. something is horribly wrong.
I'll stop sacrificing time. Linux audio: you are fired. (I still use linux for my day-to-day work though)

All that is what I did. Process is unkillable, only reboot helps.
Scared me straight.

problem saving settings on phasex, as packaged
The config file reads: m (invalid encoding)
it should be .phasex, I think.
The thing crashes with you looking at it bad. And it doesn't save any settings changes.

Re: [FIXED] snd-aloop ALSA/JACK suspend issue
as a last ditch, I'm going to install vanilla kxstudio 12.04.
If that fails, I'm dropping linux audio forever.

Re: [FIXED] snd-aloop ALSA/JACK suspend issue
There are no nvidia drivers for kernel 3.8 on ubuntu 12.10. ubuntu 12.10 is broken beyond belief for changing to nvidia drivers: http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/ubuntu-quetzal-high-end.html In any case, I want to have alsa - jack bridge plugin working, but it just fails. And if I stop jack, it do...
